“My mom was in town and I was just waiting for baby to come and I thought, ‘I might as well, I feel fine,I wanted to see if I could ᴅᴏ ɪᴛ ᴀɴᴅ ɪᴛ’s ᴀ sᴛʀᴇss ʀᴇʟɪᴇᴠᴇʀ for me. It gets my mind off things.”’ Fahlsing, 32 said .
The proud new mama said wakesᴜʀFing is a hobby she loves to do. But she is a business owner as well so she doesn’t have time to do it as much as she’d like.
Although the wakesᴜʀFing didn’t induce labor immediately, Fahlsing’s brand new bundle of joy was born five days later. She doesn’t think it helped because she had to be induced and she was in labor for three days. This was her first child and she was in labor for three days but she only pushed for an hour. Her abs were really strong and when things were going on, her doctors were like, ‘This is ɪɴsᴀɴᴇ.’”Fahlsing said wakesᴜʀFing is not dangerous for the baby as the boat is moving at a slow speed and the exercise is low-impact.
“People confuse wakesᴜʀFing with wakeboarding or water- sᴋɪɪɴɢ or tubing. With wakeboarding you’re going maybe going 25 miles an hour. And wakesᴜʀFing you’re going 9 or 10. And it’s behind a wakesᴜʀF boat. It’s specially designed to wakesᴜʀF. People might not understand that we’re being very safe and you’re going pretty slow and it’s low-impact. If I were to Fᴀʟʟ, ɪᴛ ᴡᴏᴜʟᴅ ʙᴇ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴊᴜᴍᴘɪɴɢ ɪɴᴛᴏ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴏᴏʟ.” she explained.
